New Chief Impact Officer

Family Life is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Alicia McCoy to the position of Chief Impact Officer and member of the Family Life Executive Group.

Alicia brings over 15 years of experience leading research and evaluation teams in the not-for-profit sector and is passionate about the roles that evidence and insights play in creating lasting change for communities, families and children. 

Prior to her most recent role as Head of Research Evaluation and Learning at Beyond Blue, Alicia was part of the Family Life team for eight years, setting up the organisation’s first research and evaluation unit. Alicia’s team delivered research, evaluation and outcome measurement across a variety of community development and family support services.

Alicia is a social worker by profession with clinical experience in women and children’s health. She has a PhD in evaluation from The University of Melbourne and is also an Honorary Fellow in the Department of Social Work at The University of Melbourne. 

Her interests include evaluation capacity building, knowledge translation, and evidence-informed practice in the helping professions.
